About Us

We are a local Bible believing church located in Robbinsville, North Carolina. Our mission is to Exalt the Saviour, Evangelize the Sinner, and Equip the Saint. At Buffalo Baptist Church you and your family are welcome to come grow with us! The following information is provided to you in order to give you a better understanding of what we believe and preach.

Holy Scripture

We believe that God inspired all Scripture and has completely preserved it for us in the "Word of God", as found in the Authorized King James Bible. It is the only authority that we can rightfully use to guide our worship, service, and conduct.

II Timothy 3:16; Psalm 19:7-10; Psalm 119:89; Romans 10:17; I Peter 1:23-25.

God

We believe in only one God existing in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, yet one in the Godhead, eternal, sovereign, and perfect in every way. I Corinthians 8:4-6; I John 5:7; II Corinthians 13:14; I Timothy 6:14-15; Psalm 102:24-27; Isaiah 45:22; Colossians 1:12-20.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is both the Son of God and God the Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary. He lived a perfect life, then gave His life as the only sacrifice, holy acceptable, and sufficient to redeem all mankind. His resurrection and ascension to heaven then guaranteed our justification. Today He sits at the Father's right hand as our intercessor. John 20:28, 31; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:3, 7:24-28; Matthew 1:18; Romans 3:24, 25; I Peter 1:3,4; I Timothy 2:5; I John 2:2, 22.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the person of the Godhead that today reproves the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment; He also regenerates and baptizes into the Body of Christ those who believe. The Holy Spirit indwells, teaches, bestows gifts, guides, and seals the believer unto the coming day of redemption. John 16:7-16; John 14:26; John 7:38-39; Titus 3:5; I Corinthians 12:11-13; Ephesians 1:12-14.

Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again for our justification, and that it is the Holy Spirit that draws men to Christ through hearing the "Word of God". The Grace of God saves each person through faith in the shed blood of Jesus, works having no part in salvation. I Timothy 1:14-17; Romans 3:23-28; 4:23-5:1; Ephesians 2:4-9.
